Exercise Classes for the Older Adult

Tuesday 2pm & Thursday at 2pm

 

Regular physical activity helps prevent the negative effects of aging. Benefits include:

Strength training can reduce the signs and symptoms of many conditions:

  • Arthritis – Reduces pain and stiffness and increases strength and flexibility

  • Heart Disease – Improves overall fitness and cholesterol control
  • Obesity – Increases metabolism which helps burn more calories and helps with long term weight control
  • Mobility/Stiffness – Increase flexibility and range of movement
  • Back pain – Strengthens back and abdominal muscles to reduce stress on the spine
